Please note, all warranty claims should be submitted through the Buildertrend portal that was set up prior to closing on your home.  If you need help setting up your portal, or have questions regarding your warranty please submit a request to warranty@herbsthomes.com.

Our Warranty Portal is designed to provide you with seamless access to all your warranty information and support. Through the portal, you can easily submit warranty claims, track the status of existing requests, and review important documentation related to your home’s warranty coverage. With user-friendly navigation and real-time updates, our portal ensures that you stay informed every step of the way. Whether it’s scheduling a warranty inspection or addressing a repair, the Herbst Homes team is committed to making the process as efficient and transparent as possible.

1-Month Warranty Check-In

Shortly after you move in, our team will schedule the first check in to ensure your home is meeting your expectations and address any immediate concerns. This initial check-in focuses on your overall satisfaction and the functionality of your new home.

• Address any covered claims: We will take care of any covered claims that have occurred in the first month of living in your home.
• Review home systems: We’ll ensure that all key systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are working properly.
• Answer questions: We’ll be available to answer any questions you may have about home maintenance and operation, and provide continuing education on the different components of your home.


4-Month Warranty Check-In

At the 4-month mark, we will conduct a more thorough review of your home’s systems and features, ensuring that everything is performing as it should.

• Inspect key systems: A check on mechanical systems like heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical to verify they are functioning efficiently.
• Check for settling issues: We’ll inspect for any settling of the foundation or walls and address any cracks or imperfections.
• Review warranty requests: If any concerns have arisen since your last check-in, we’ll make sure they are resolved.

8-Month Warranty Check-In

Around 8 months into your ownership, we’ll check in to see how your home is performing as you’ve had more time to live in and use the space.

• Continued Care: This is another opportunity for us to address any covered claims submitted by the homeowner.
• Maintenance tips: Our team will provide guidance on seasonal maintenance, including HVAC care, exterior upkeep, and more to keep your home in top shape.
• Identify potential issues: Proactively address any issues before they become more significant concerns, ensuring your home remains in perfect condition.

12-Month Warranty Check-In

As you approach the one-year mark, we will conduct a comprehensive review of your home. This final warranty check-in ensures everything is functioning properly after your first full year of ownership.

• Full home inspection: We’ll conduct a detailed inspection of your home’s systems, structure, and finishes.
• Final adjustments: Address any concerns that may have developed over the year, from settling issues to other various components of the home.
• Warranty coverage review: Review the next steps for ongoing home care, and clarify any long-term warranty coverage for structural components.
